Abstract
In recent years, the popularity of disabled sports has been growing rapidly due to the Olympics and Paralympics. Thus, products for disabled sports such as sports prosthesis had been studied and developed in many ways. For example, a lot of investigations into the dynamics of sports prosthesis for track and field have been conducted for designing. However, there is very little research available on the dynamic behavior of sports prosthesis during impact such as coefficient of restitution although it could be very helpful to model the dynamic simulator, duplicating the movement pattern of sports prosthesis. Therefore, the aim of this study was to measure the coefficient of restitution of sports prosthesis in different experimental conditions. The impact test was conducted using a high speed camera. The result revealed that the coefficient of restitution was around 0.6 on athletic field and 0.4 on wood.
