Recently, the advance of numerical controller's technology has improved contouring accuracy of NC machine tools. However, conventional numerical controller has many functions in order to deal with the mechanical problem such as frictions, plays. Therefore, it is difficult to adjust the parameters of numerical controller perfectly. In this report, the difficulty of stick motion compensation is shown as an example of the complication of tuning operations.
