This study aims to design the geometrical shapes of cutting edges, by which thrust force can be kept zero independently from the depth of cut. As the experimental discussion, it is clarified that thrust forces can be kept zero in wide ranges of depths of cut by designing the geometrical shapes of cutting edge appropriately. Namely, a designing method of geometrical shapes of cutting edges which can be easily used micro shaft turning is proposed in this study.
