This paper presents a control technique of molten metal's pressure using a new type of iron casting method called sand mold press casting to realize high-productivity and high-quality product. During high-speed pressing to decrease the production cycle time, filling molten metal increases pressure rapidly and flows into interspace between particles of greensand. Then, generation of physical metal penetration defect is confirmed on cast product surface. Hence, we propose sequential pressing control method with liquid mathematical model and a pressure constraint condition for defect free production derived by molten metal cast experiments.
