LED (Light Emitting Diode) is very weak in the case when it is to expose the hot environments. It is predicted that the deterioration of Diode as the one of the elements may occur in environments of more than 80 °C. The performance and lifetime of LED considerably go down under such high temperature environments. So, it will be strongly requested that Diode temperature always has to maintain less than 80°C. As the one of provision for the heat release problem of LED, AP Raw Materials Co., Ltd. has developed the radiation cooling technique for releasing much quantities of heat produced fromLED to the outside environments using Aprm radiant materials having with 0.94 and 180 W/mK in spectrum emissivity and thermal conductivity, respectively. The Aprm radiant materials also involve the resonance frequency with the wavelength emitting from Diode elements. At least, the radiation cooling effect of Aprm radiant materials developed by AP Raw Materials Co., Ltd makes it possible to decrease the temperature of Diode within the range of about 10 %, comparing with that in the case of without Aprm radiant materials. This fact indicates that Aprm radiant materials are very useful for releasing much quantities of heat generated from Diode.
