The method of finite strain measurement based on the image analysis is suggested by using the Natural Strain theory. The effectiveness of this measurement method has been verified by comparing the strain measurement by the image analysis with the conventional measurement based on the displacement meter. However, in the previous study, the effectiveness of this method has been confirmed while limiting the deformation under uniform field. Hence, the local deformation has not been examined yet in the previous study. So, the measurement under local deformation had been conducted with respect to uni-axial tension or simple shear. As a result, it became clear in case of uni-axial tension that the measurement value by upper position of the specimen differ from the value by middle position. On the other hand, in case of the simple shear, these measurements did not much difference. Therefore, the combined deformations of uni-axial tension and simple shear under large deformation are examined based on the method of image analysis in this paper.
