Abstract
In an attempt to establish the simple mechanics of circulatory and respiratory systems, we have adopted a very simple mechanical model in which the behavior of blood and the main organs such as heart, aorta and capillary in the cardiovascular system is regarded as a coupled motion or a mechanical interaction between fluid and elastic membrane. In this model the behavior of air and the main organs such as bronchus and alveolus in the pulmonaiy system is also regarded as the same interaction. The simplest version of the present "Coupled behavior between fluid and elastic membrane" model consists of Newtonian viscous fluid as a model fluid and Hookean elastic membrane as a model membrane.
