This paper describes a gas turbine inlet air cooling system using high pressure spray nozzle. It is important to know water droplet size distribution behind IGV (Inlet Guide Vane) for erosion risk reduction. We have been applied PDPA(Phase Doppler Particle Analyzer) to observation of water droplets behavior around inlet foggering gas turbine IGV trailing edge Changing inlet relative humidity, water droplet size distribution in stream wise perpendicular section measured. The effect of water droplet atomized from IGV trailing edge were studied by comparing the PDPA measurement data from the 3 different relative humidity. As a result, we confirmed that water droplet size becomes large goes to downstream on the conditions that relative humidity is low, on the other hand, water droplet size becomes small goes to downstream on the conditions that relative humidity is high.
