抄録

We have been endeavoring in cooperation with industrial, academic, and government organizations for the creation of a new research and development complex on Kobe's Port Island. This complex will support the advancement of medical technology, which is considered a growth industry in the 21st century. In the field of medical device development, we encourage efforts which include developing innovative medical devices, promoting medical-engineering collaboration, supporting commercialization of R&D outcomes, establishing centers for development and creating platforms to accelerate medical device commercialization. We will continue our efforts in promoting this project to become the "No.l Biomedical Cluster in Asia" that bolsters the nation's economic growth as a global center of "Life Innovation".
