It becomes important to make good use of biogas from sewage treatment with cogeneration system (CGS). Sludge digestion in sewage treatment center is classified into mesophilic and thermophilic digestion, in terms of the digestion temperatures. However, it has not been clarified how optimize the CGS arrangement in the center. This study shows the effect of the heat energy balance, the annual electrical cost and the CO_2 emission of each models based on the treatment center in cold region. As one of results, mesophilic digestion is suited rather than thermophilic in cold region to keep good condition of thermal management.
