Abstract
A factory is introduced FMS (Flexible Manufacturing System) in order to in a flexible production under high-mix low-volume production. And it spends much time by an automated warehouse in the factory when the warehouse load and unload WIP (Work In Progress). The delays cause due to an increased the number of orders to the warehouse. In this research, we stage the warehouse by making temporary storage called Cache. And we decrease the number of orders to each stage of the warehouse by the Cache and processes become more efficient. We consider tactic about more efficient delivery of WIP in the factory. And we also consider layout and utilization method to become the Cache more useful. We programed by means of Perl, and simulated by making Delivery schedule of WIP when a schedule of machining cells is settled. We compared each results of simulation and consider tactic about more efficient delivery of WIP in the factory.
