The hazards in industrial accidents are mainly classified into trapping and drawing-in. However, its expected harm has not been evaluated systematically in the risk assessment stage. In this study, the force sensor whose shape is similar to human fingers, in order to evaluate the consequence of hazard in the trapping is developed. The upper shape of sensor has a curvature same as the thumb. The authors measure the impact force which is generated when the wing of bowl hits the finger. This situation is the same as a typical situation of accident when a bowl is set in a mixing machine for food processing. The higher dependency of drop height is observed than of curvature. In the next stage, the effect of finger skin and muscle will be investigated by rapping the sensor by soft material and so on.
