Abstract
In late years, renewable energy is reconsidered as the substitution of fossil fuel to reduce carbon dioxide emission. Among them, hydraulic power generation is minimal carbon dioxide emission and the investigation related to the small hydraulic power generation and tidal power generation is becoming popular. In order to obtain the high power by hydraulic power generation, it is necessary to examine the installation of multiple power generators as seen in the wind firm. In this study, a lift type small size propeller turbine using a runner of 100 mm in diameter was adopted as a small hydro turbine in consideration of using at a small open water channel with side faces, bottom face and free surface of the water. In the present paper, a hydraulic power generation device having a runner of 100 mm in diameter consisting of symmetrical simple aerofoil was manufactured and it is clarified by a demonstration test that the hydro turbine using this runner without incidental facilities is possible. In addition, in order to consider the installation of multiple generation turbines, the flow condition downstream of the rotor is investigated by the numerical analysis result.
