Recently, solar energy attracts much attention as a clean energy resource due to the increasing environmental concerns of human being. CO_2 is attractive as a working fluid instead of R134a, because GWP of CO_2 is much less than of R134a. Solar CO_2 Rankine System (SCRS) has been proposed by one of the authors, which can generate electrical and thermal energy by using solar energy as an energy resource and carbon dioxide as a working fluid. In this study, flow characteristics of CO_2 inside of the turbine with changes in properties of nozzles were investigated analytically and experimentally. In one dimensional analysis of fanno flow, choking was checked at nozzle diameter 0.5 and 0.6 mm. In addition, it was also observed at nozzle diameter 0.5 mm experimentally.
