The purpose of present study is to decompose persistent organic substances by way of an advanced oxidation process which uses both fluid mixing equipment and plasma for application in domestic water-purifier tank. First, in order to evaluate this equipment, concentration change test was conducted using simplified water quality measurement device for ozone and hydrogen peroxide, when supplied gas and liquid volume flow rate were changed. Second, in order to investigate its applicability to water treatment, the decomposition test of acetic acid as model substance was conducted, as the OH-radical is considered to be valid for the decomposition of persistent organic substance. The results indicate that the concentration of ozone and hydrogen peroxide increase with the gas flow rate.
