The energy consumption due to fossil fuel of humankind has increased rapidly from the Industrial Revolution. As a result, the environmental problems including a global warming etc. are big issue now. In such a background, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) consisting of both 17 goals and 169 targets were unanimously adopted by member states at the UN Summit in September 2015.To achieve the goals, the utilization of a renewable energy such as solar energy, wind power etc. are now drawing attention from all over the world.

In this research, we focused on the solar energy. First, we clarified the spectral distribution of sunlight reaching the earth’s surface. And we challenge the system of using solar energy separately by the wavelength selection into an infrared range and a visible light range using a heat radiation reflective film. In other words, we propose the hybrid power generation unit which simultaneously used a sunlight and a solar heat for the aim of high efficiency. On this system, we perform thermoelectric power generation system using the energy of an infrared range and generate power by a photovoltaic cell with the energy of a visible light range. The purpose of this research is the improvement of a total power generation efficiency by the cascading energy use. And, it is important for the using of a solar energy effectively.
