Abstract

With good use of precision die making technology, Nissin Precision Machines Co, Ltd. (Nissin), a Japanese-based medium-sized enterprise, seeks to build a successful business model that brings distinctive advantage to secure its future growth in today’s competitive global environment. To achieve this goal, Nissin adds high value to products and services, thereby deepening its core techniques, especially in the realm of deep drawing progressive stamping die manufacturing which is Nissin’s global niche top strategy and its product differentiation strategy. These are largely brought by Nissin’s integrated production system from die design to press stamping services. As a key factor for its success, Nissin sees its optimal local production and optimal local sales policy being critical for its global business, with four overseas factories located in Thailand, Philippines, and China (Wuxi and Shenzhen). These foreign factories help Nissin compete in and harmonize with today’s rapidly changing supply chain and take advantage of commercial opportunities. In addition, Nissin, to generate innovation by effectively enhancing its on-site capabilities, gives emphasis on cross-enterprise collaboration, which has ever developed an epoch-making CNC Freeform Tube Bending Machine, DX services for press stamping manufacturer, and others. Through such business activities, Nissin simultaneously aims to revitalize the regional economies of Ota ward, Tokyo, and Iida City, Nagano, where it is located.
