The purpose of this study is to assess the structural and thermoelectric characteristics of N- and P-type SWCNT films by modifying the quantity of the cationic surfactant DODMAC (dimethyldioctadecylammonium chloride) incorporated into single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) dispersions and by subjecting the SWCNT films to thermal treatment. The dispersions were prepared by adding SWCNT powder to deionized water and dispersing it ultrasonically. The SWCNT films were prepared by vacuum filtration of the dispersion and heat treated at 150°C for one hour in a mixed gas atmosphere comprising 95% Ar and 5% H₂ respectively. Subsequently, the SWCNT films were converted from N-type to P-type through a heating cycle experiment. This study presents the physical properties and structural evaluation of the SWCNT films during the transformation.
