Many museums and science centers offer guided tours and scientific experiment demonstrations for children, but the inclusion of "engineering" is rare and an issue. The Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology has been trialing a "children's guided tour" since August 2023, taking advantage of its unique features to stimulate interest in "engineering" among younger generations, and judging by the evaluation results, it appears to have been somewhat effective. In order to increase effectiveness, this time, rather than evaluating the tour itself, evaluations were collected for each exhibit and explanatory element, and the elements that would generate more interest were analyzed. The results showed that while hands-on experiences have a great effect, interest is further amplified when easy-to-understand explanations are added, and that interest is also increased when exhibits are things that people normally do not see in person and where there is a large gap between reality and one's imagination.
