This paper describes the correlation between the response time TA (sec) of Spin-Up and that TD (sec) of Spin-Down of the tangential velocity of rotational gas flow in the cylindrical cyclone dust collector of the diameter D1=140mm with the tangential inlet pipe of the diameter Do=20mm. When the Reynolds number Rec defined as Rec=Qo/Hi ν was 348.9,so the ratio of TA to TD was nearly equal to 1 in the quasi-free vortex region, but Rec was higher than 700,the ratio of TA to TD was lower than 1. And also the simplified models of TA and TD were discussed with the experimental results.
