In this paper, the stability of the thin cylindrical shell subjected to axial leakage flow is reported. Furthermore, in this paper, we focus on only the axisymmetric vibration of the shell at the first step of the research of the axial leakage flow-induced vibration. Equations for the shell and fluid are described by ones of the thin cylindrical shell and Navier-Stokes ones, and are coupled. The added mass, added damping and added stiffness are described by considering unsteady pressure acting on the shell. The relation between the axial velocity and the unstable phenomena are clarified. The numerical simulations are shown as the parameter study.
