抄録
This paper describes the parallel finite element analysis of large scale problems for a heat conductive problem using parallel computers. In order to solve the issue of memory shortage and computational time, the developed system employs a dynamic load balancing and hierarchical distributed data management technique. The present system is successfully applied to large FEM analyses of over two million d.o.f. (degrees of freedom) on a PC cluster parallel computer consisting of 16 processing units.
