抄録
In this study, the system of distributed processing of FEM is equipped with graphical user interface (GUI) for the convenience of operators. This system is originally programmed by using Java that is one of object oriented language and does not depend on operating system. This language has much tool of GUI like AWT and Swing, and the interface is added to the system of FEM by using the language. AWT is adopted as the tool of GUI in this study because AWT is faster than Swing at the operation of the system. GUI is mainly constructed by using icons that illustrate the operating procedures of the distributed processing. The constructed system with GUI is verified by operating on various computers of Windows, Linux, Solaris and Mac OS.
