In this paper, we discuss about designing a miniaturized gas turbine as a portable energy source. For a gas turbine miniaturization, design problems to be solved are considered. We have manufactured an impellor of 10-mm diameter : its manufacturing was one of the severest problems. Another problem is a decrease of efficiency induced by the following reasons : a relative increase of a gap between a casing and an impellor, and thermal transmission from a turbine to a compressor.
