Global environmental issues, such as global warming, have been recently the focus of much attention the international scene. Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. had made a basic, pilot and simulation study of a Pressurized Coal Partial Combustor (PCPC) and a PCPC coal gasification combined cycle plant system with Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. since 1994. This paper describes the structure of PCPC and its simulation model, and more the dynamic characteristic analysis and the examination of power generation system using a PCPC.
