Abstract
In this study the behavior of droplet formation was observed with used of a high-speed video camera and analyzed by STAR-CD. The objective is to determine the accuracy of flow rate measurement in the droplet method commonly used in the medical practice. It is discussed that the outlet velocity distribution and surface tension have various effects on the droplet formation and possibility can control the droplet size.
