Abstract
We investigated the influence of elastic body to fluid drag in a circular cylinder with a uniform flow, changing the Reynolds number. In this paper, Loosely coupling method is employed for solving the fluid/structure problem on an incompressible unsteady flow and a perfect elastic body. Our result show that the drag reduction can be achieved due to the interaction between fluid and elastic body.
