Abstract
The long wave equation and molecular gas-film lubrication (MGL) equation is used to analyze the lubricant evolution under a flying head slider. We examine the effects of waviness of disk on the lubricant modulation. The obtained results show that air bearing shear stress strongly affect the shape of lubricant deformation just under slider and the thinning/thickening rate of lubricant thickness depends on disk topography especially wave amplitude.
