Abstract
In this paper, we proposed the intelligent support system for the machining center and showed how to optimize the cutting condition. Our system can get the cutting condition, i.e. a cutting torque, and the machine condition, i.e. a tool position, at the same time and shows these data on a screen of the computer with the CAD data. An operator easily can find the point where the cutting torque is excessive above a certain value. The proposed system also can estimate the correlation between the cutting condition and the cutting torque for optimization of the cutting condition.
