This paper gives a description of an experimental study of ultrasonic welding of Al alloy sheet and thin alumina by using inserts. For example, the ultrasonic welding of Al alloy (A1050, A1100, A2017, A5052 and A6061) sheet (0.2mm^t) and anodized aluminum oxide by means of vaporized Al alloy (A2017) as inserts can be accomplished under condition of 5MPa and 0.2s. The shear tensile strength of a welding products is influenced of the hardness of the Al alloy sheet. When the Hv0.025 of a Al sheet was 30-40, the strength of the welding products (welding pressure 5MPa, required duration 0.2s) became maximum value, and it was 5MPa.
