A synthetic type apparatus was designed for measuring the solubility of dimethyl ether (DME) in decane, and tetraethylene glycol at 377.6 K. The reliability of the data was ensured by measuring the solubility of propane in decane, and comparing with the data of literature. The solubility of DME in decane linearly increased with the pressure following Henry's law, and the tendency was similar to that of propane in decane. Otherwise, the solubility of DME in tetraethylene glycol showed the non-ideal pressure dependence. The experimental data were correlated with the Peng-Robinson equation of state, and the binary parameters, in mixing rule, were optimized to predict the phase behavior.
