Measurements have been performed in the vicinity of the roughness element for the equilibrium boundary layer developing over the rough wall, proposed by J.C. Rotta. Wall pressure and velocity fluctuations were measured simultaneously at x≒2180mm. The Reynolds numbers based on momentum thickness and roughness height were 6500 and 160 respectively. Wall pressure and squared velocity-gradient fluctuations is well correlated near rough wall. By conditional sampling, the event of negative wall pressure corresponds to the momentum exchange process between cavity flow and its above outer flow.
