An intoroductory education was reopened on the second grade in Department of Mechanical Engineering of Kobe City College of Technology. Four fields of mechanical engineering, that is, history of technology, material, energy, and control and information, were presented by the omnibus style. Additionally, the engineer, who were graduate of our college, was invited to lecture to the class. His lecture was valued high, because not only the students were familiar with him as their senior, but also his lecture was very practically as a engineer. After the lecture, they changed to take memos and were interested in mechanical engineering again. We succeeded in reopening the intoroductory education.
