1211 An Example of Educating Practicing Manufacturing in College of Technology : The 5-Inch Gauge Locomotive Model Manufacturing and Changed to the Hybrid System

Abstract

This paper described a manufacturing education for improvement of manufacturing capacity of the student. The 5-inch gauge railway model is produced, and the produced locomotive is changed to a hybrid system. In this manufacturing education, the manufacturing capacity of the student who participated in production is improved, because the upperclassman coaches the underclassman for manufacturing parts of the railway model. As a result, both got improvements of the manufacturing capacity. And result of the hybrid system, the energy efficiency of about 20% is improved.
