In this study, influence of a bolt stiffness on fatigue characteristics under transverse vibration has been investigated. The experiments were performed using a few different size bolt with the same bending stiffness. The results showed that the apparent transverse fatigue limits of each bolted joint were different. Therefore it was seen that the apparent transverse fatigue limits of the bolted joint with different size are influenced on not only the bolt stiffness but also other parameters.
