抄録

It was already reported that the performance of a frictional power transmission belt such as flat or V-ribbed belts can be analytically predicted by using μV characteristics and the results well coincide with the measured ones. The prediction method gives performance proportional to initial tension, while measured one reaches the limit as initial tension goes higher. In this report it is shown that the difference between theoretical and measured performance is caused by the dependence of friction coefficients on tension.
