Abstract
This paper describes a spleen FEM model built into THUMS (Total HUman Model for Safety). The mechanical property of model is substituted by that of the edible animal. The tensile and compressive mechanical property of spleen is measured by the textile property tester and the dynamic property of it is exmined by falling impactor tester. The tolerance of spleen is also determined from the dynamic test. Selecting an appropriate mechanical model adopted the above data, the spleen FEM model acts in similar behavior of the edible animal spleen.
