Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of impact condition on head injuries, such as skull fracture or cerebral contusion and subdural hematoma caused by the rapture of bridging vein, by Finite Element Method. An impact simulation, that a rubber cylindrical impactor collides with the simulated human head, is analysed by changing the properties of impactor, such as diameter, stiffness, mass and impact region. It is clarified that stress in the skull and strain of the bridging veins are affected by the impact condition which causes different types of head injury.
