In the recent ten years, large companies have been deploying PLM solution to improve the productivity by unifying product development and manufacturing. Recently, leading-edge mid-sized companies are also paying attention to PLM, because they are facing with the need of managing increasing 3D CAD data, complexity of product structure data management. However, mid-sized companies do not have enough information system staff to manage information from development to manufacturing. They are reluctant to implement integrated PLM solution which requires high information-related investment for system construction, implementation, training and maintenance. Under such circumstances, it is required that mid-market PLM enables the fast implementation with limited staff, step-by-step implementation of effective solution based on best practices and highly effective investment.
