A simulation model of separating discharge between a sheet and a grounded electrode is verified. The discharge gaps, the discharge density (the number of discharges in 30 mm along the separating direction) and the potential distribution on the back-side of the sheet after the separation are calculated and compared with the experimental results. Although the discrepancy is recognized in the number of discharges in high electrification level, this model can be used for the study of preventing harmful effects of separating discharges.
