Abstract
In order to simulate DFH (Dynamic Flying Height) performance of slider in HDD, a simulation system coupled thmeral-mechanical analysis and slider analysis is built. It is found that the simulation results of pole protrusion match well with measurement for two kinds of ABS (Air Bearing Surface), and it shows the DFH protrusion will depend on cooling effect and ABS shapes. It is clear that the system will be very useful to reduce the optimized design time by both of wafer and slider design at the same time.
