Abstract
There are power/size and price/cost constraints in realizing embedded mechatronic systems. Thus, this paper considers finite word length (FWL) effects when implementing discrete-time transfer functions in the delta form, The new implementation method named Variable Modulation Method (VMM) is previously proposed and the effectiveness is verified at MIPE2003. In this paper, this method is extended to improve the numerical accuracy by using bang-bang control law. The simulated results show that the proposed method is effective.
