Abstract
This paper reports a bicone-shaped micro coil for magnetic resonance imaging. The three-dimensional bicone-shaped micro coil was fabricated by pushing and folding a pair of planar coils. Since the gap between the coil wirings increases using the bicone-shaped structure, this coil has a low parasitic capacitance and a high self-resonant frequency. Furthermore, since the coil has high sensitivity as a result of the close distance between the coil wirings and samples, we acquired high resolution magnetic resonance images of a berry at a voxel size of 50×50×100 μm^3.
