Abstract
In recent years, the study has been attracting which is to develop the Micro Air Vehicle. The MAV is imitated the high ability of small flight insects. The authors' purpose is to develop an MAV modeled a dragonfly because they has high performances in flight. A dragonfly can flap with the flapping motion and the feathering motion. Moreover, in the recent research, it has emerged that the high performance has relation to deformation of a dragonfly's wing (natural wing). However, past researches, related to the feathering motion take up the wing as a rigid body, and has not consider deformation of the wing. Accordingly, this article shows the influence of deformation of the natural wing on generation of aerodynamic force. The results are completely different in case of the deformation wing and the flat wing. Moreover, the wing was distorted with the feathering motion in case of the angle is 40 degrees.
