Developments of novel design criteria with advanced research of strength are the basis of original structures and the foundation of industrial competitiveness. Our country is now one of top runners in the industries of energy and power plants, and our standards should be international one. Looking back the epoch-making codes in industrial fields, future trends of new codes and expectations for advanced research and developments are considered.
