This paper discusses influence of variation in volume fraction of fiber on a stochastic property of a homogenized elastic property of a fiber reinforced composite material caused by a random variation in a material property or geometty of component materials. The influence is analyzed with the perturbation-based analysis using the equivalent inclusion method. With numerical results, influence of volume fraction variation on the stochastic property is discussed. Also, a limit of random variation of volume fraction of fiber in order to control a random variation of a homogenized elastic property of a composite to be less than random variation of elastic properties of component materials is investigated.
