The surface acoustic wave measurement was carried out by synchronizing ultrasonic pulsation with a fatigue cycle for the bolted specimen of Al alloy during the fatigue testing. The change in the echo reflected from the fretting fatigue crack was measured in the fatigue cycle. The intensity of the SAW echo from the fretting fatigue crack increased in the loading stage and reached maximum and then decreased in the unloading stage of the fatigue cycle.
