Abstract
In this paper, when the shearing load was given to the rectangular plate which constitutes the frame structure of a vehicle, the load-displacement relation of the post-buckling was derived on the basis of the definition of the effective width by Karman, considering the tension field. The validity of the derived equation was investigated as compared with the finite element method (FEM) including geometric nonlinearity. As a result, the following conclusions were obtained, 1) The equation expressing the postbuckling behavior under shear was derived by applying the definition of the effective width under compression, including the diagonal tension field factor by Kuhn, 2) The load-displacement relations of the post-buckling under shear correlated with FEM computation was obtained from these derived equations.
