Stress intensity factor (SIF) solutions have been developed for semi-elliptical surface cracks with large aspect ratio in finite plates. In this study, SIF solutions were calculated based on the influence function method in conjunction with the finite element method. These solutions enable to perform crack growth analyses for cracks with large aspect ratio.
