In this study, effects of freezing after water absorption on flexural property and interlaminar fracture toughness of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastics (CFRP) were examined. Water absorption test was conducted at 90℃. After water absorption the specimens were kept in -79℃ and -196℃ environment. Static flexural and double cantilever beam test were conducted at the room temperature after water absorption and freezing. As a result, following conclusions are obtained. The water absorption rate at 500 hour was 1.5%. After water absorption, flexural strength of CFRP decreased with an increase of water absorption rate. Flexural modulus did not change after water absorption and freezing. Interlaminar fracture toughness of water absorbed CFRP and frozen CFRP increased. After water absorption, initial interlaminar fracture toughness of CFRP decreased with an increase of freezing temperature.
